This is usually why people call us

When IT starts creating more work than it should.

It is rarely one bad support ticket. It is usually a pattern that creates extra work for your team and makes getting help harder than it needs to be.

Waiting

You're chasing for updates

Your team spends too much time following up instead of getting back to work.

Repeat issues

Why does this keep happening?

The same issue keeps cropping up, but nobody seems to step back and ask why.

Starting over

Every call starts again

You explain your setup and what happened last time before anyone can start helping.

Provider handball

Nobody owns the problem

You are left coordinating the internet provider, phone provider, software vendor and IT support yourself.

Hourly billing

Still paying for IT by the hour?

When every call is billable, people put off the little things. The buzzing computer, the printer that only works sometimes, patchy Wi-Fi, the small issue everyone has learned to work around. It sits there becoming part of the furniture because nobody wants to create another invoice.

The Q10 approach

Tell us what the business needs. We'll take it from there.

You shouldn't need to diagnose the issue or know which supplier should fix it. Q10 works through the problem and comes back with a practical decision or a clear next step.

The resultLess technical noise. Clearer next steps.

What changes with Q10

Support when you call. Management when you don’t.

Your team can get on with it without worrying about IT. They know what's happening, what's already been done and what happens next, and they can speak to someone when they need to.

Help now

Your team reaches people who already know the setup and can get on with solving the problem.

Ongoing management

Monitoring, patching, backups, access and documentation continue between calls.

Planning ahead

Ageing equipment, new team members, projects and risks are planned before they become urgent.

Part of how we work

We actually talk to each other.

Tickets and notes are important, but they don't capture everything. If someone mentions something, an issue keeps cropping up, or something just doesn't seem right, we talk about it.

Security built in

Cybersecurity is part of how we manage your IT.

Our managed IT plans include the core cybersecurity protections we believe businesses should have as a baseline. Where more is needed, we build from there.

Changing providers

Switching IT support does not need to become another IT problem.

We keep the switch as simple as 1, 2, 3: understand the current setup, prepare the handover, then stabilise the essentials without unnecessary change.

We work together to

1
UnderstandWhat is working, what is failing and what the business needs.
2
PrepareAccess, vendors, documentation and the handover plan.
3
StabiliseSupport, security, backups and immediate risks first.

Technology readiness

Record keeping obligations become systems questions.

Where do identity records live? Who can see them? How are retention, audit history and backups handled? Q10 helps put the technology controls and evidence behind the program on paper.

Q10 supports technology controls and evidence. We do not provide legal advice or certify compliance.

Common questions

A few things businesses usually want to know first.

For service-specific questions, the Managed IT, Pricing and location pages go into more detail.

Do you provide managed IT support across North Queensland?

Yes. Q10 provides managed IT and cybersecurity support for businesses across North Queensland, including Townsville, Cairns and the Whitsundays. Our engineers are based in Townsville and Cairns, with remote support used wherever possible and onsite support available where the work genuinely needs someone there.

Where can Q10 provide onsite IT support?

Q10 has local engineering capability in Townsville and Cairns for equipment, network and site issues that need someone onsite. For businesses elsewhere in North Queensland, talk to us about the location and the onsite coverage required.

Can Q10 provide our business internet and phone system as well as IT support?

Yes. Q10 provides Q10 Business Internet and Q10 Voice alongside managed IT and cybersecurity. If those services are already with another provider, we can review the current setup and migrate them to Q10 where it makes sense, giving your business fewer providers to coordinate when an issue crosses the internet, network, phones or IT environment.

Can Q10 support the business software we already use?

Yes. Most businesses rely on accounting, legal, practice management, payroll, ERP or other industry-specific software alongside Microsoft 365. Q10 looks after the computers, network, access and surrounding technology, and works with the software provider when an issue needs their involvement. Changing IT providers does not mean replacing the business applications your team already relies on.

Can Q10 help us change IT providers without disrupting the business?

Yes. The handover is planned around access, documentation, vendors and support continuity first. We avoid unnecessary changes while we understand the current setup, then stabilise the important systems, security and backups before moving on to improvements.

How much does managed IT support cost for a small business?

Pricing depends mainly on the number of managed computer users and the services included. As a current example, a business with five managed computer users is $1,250 per month on Essentials or $1,500 per month on Advanced, excluding GST. Frontline team members who only need email and mobile or tablet access are priced separately at a lower rate.
