Managed IT pricing

Managed IT pricing based on the people and devices we support.

Our plans combine day-to-day IT support, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, backup and ongoing management into one monthly cost. Pricing mainly scales with the number of managed computer users, with separate lower-cost pricing for frontline team members who only need email and mobile or tablet access.

What shapes the plan

The monthly scope should be clear before you commit.

We avoid publishing a bare per-user figure that hides the services, security controls and minimum engagement behind it.

People

Your people

Managed computer users, frontline team members, locations, work patterns and the level of day-to-day support required.

Systems

Your environment

Devices, Microsoft 365, business applications, internet, phones and specialist systems.

Risk

Your risk

Cybersecurity, backups, compliance expectations and the business impact of downtime.

Scope

What Q10 covers

Whether Q10 supports selected services or coordinates the technology environment as a whole.

Managed IT costs in Australia

How much do managed IT services cost in Australia?

Managed IT pricing varies with team size, devices, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, backup and the support scope. The useful comparison is the total monthly cost for the managed environment, not a helpdesk-only per-user rate. Q10's current examples range from $900 per month ex GST for 3 managed computer users to $5,100 per month ex GST for 20 users on Advanced.

Managed computer usersEssentialsAdvanced
3 users$900/ month ex GST$1,050/ month ex GST
5 users$1,250/ month ex GST$1,500/ month ex GST
10 users$2,200/ month ex GST$2,700/ month ex GST
20 users$4,100/ month ex GST$5,100/ month ex GST
Compare the total monthly cost, not just the help desk fee.

The managed IT price already includes Microsoft 365 Business Premium licensing, managed computers, Microsoft 365 backup, core security controls, 24/7 detection and response, documentation and day-to-day support. When comparing providers, check whether those items are included or added as separate line items.

Have field or frontline team members?

People who only need business email and mobile or tablet access do not need to be priced as full managed computer users. We account for those team members separately.

What changes for you

The difference is what happens between the support calls.

Both plans include the same managed IT foundation. Your team can ask for help without worrying about another hourly invoice, while Q10 keeps the environment maintained, monitored and documented in the background.

Support

When something breaks

Your team calls, emails or raises a ticket and someone who knows the environment picks it up. Most issues are handled remotely, with onsite attendance included where it is genuinely required for day-to-day support.

Management

Ongoing management

Computers are monitored and patched, Microsoft 365 is managed, backups are checked and the environment is maintained so small problems are less likely to become urgent ones.

Security

When something goes wrong

Security monitoring runs around the clock, with specialist analysts able to take proportionate containment action rather than simply forwarding an alert for someone to see later.

Changes

When the business changes

New starters, leavers, ageing equipment and upcoming changes are handled as part of the ongoing relationship, with clear advice before decisions become urgent.

Essentials vs Advanced

The managed IT is the same. Advanced adds more security controls around it.

Essentials includes the day-to-day IT, Microsoft 365, backup and core cybersecurity baseline. Advanced adds controls focused on phishing, compromised credentials, unauthorised software and investigation.

Pricing FAQ

Questions people usually ask before choosing a plan.

The important part is understanding the real monthly scope, not just comparing a per-user number.

How is managed IT pricing calculated?

Pricing is mainly based on the number of managed computer users, the tenant and sites being managed, and any additional devices or frontline team members. The worked examples above show the current pricing for common team sizes.

Are Microsoft 365 licences included?

Yes. The current Essentials and Advanced plans include Microsoft 365 Business Premium licensing for managed computer users, along with the management and security configuration around it.

Are onsite visits included?

Yes, where an onsite visit at an included site is genuinely required for included day-to-day support. Major projects, new locations and work outside the agreed support scope are quoted separately.

How are field or frontline team members priced?

People who mainly use business email and a mobile or tablet, without a managed computer, are priced separately at a lower rate. They do not need to be counted as full managed computer users.

Are projects included in the monthly plan?

Projects and major changes are quoted separately. Q10 explains the scope and cost before the work starts, rather than turning project work into an unexpected monthly invoice.

Can Q10 support us if we open another site?

Yes. If an existing Q10 client adds another location, we can usually extend the managed environment across North Queensland. Remote support and central management can continue where practical. Onsite work outside our local engineering bases is handled case by case and may involve travel or a local provider. The initial network, equipment and site setup would normally be scoped separately as a project before the new location becomes part of the ongoing managed environment.

How long is the initial agreement?

The current standard managed service plans use a 12-month initial agreement. The final term, renewal and notice details are set out clearly in the Service Agreement before you commit.

Can our managed plan change as our team changes?

Yes. Normal team changes can be added or removed as the team changes without rebuilding the whole agreement. If there is a substantial change to the business, such as a major reduction in team size, closing a location or materially changing the services Q10 manages, we would review the plan with you so the scope and pricing still reflect the environment we are supporting.

Good fit

Businesses that rely on their systems every day.

Q10 is generally a strong fit where there is a team to support, several systems or providers to coordinate and a real cost when technology gets in the way.

  • Professional and specialist service businesses
